The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are no two recording angels who bring up to Allah what they have recorded of a servant's deeds during the night or the day, and Allah finds good at the beginning of the record and at the end of the record, except that Allah, Exalted is He, says, 'I call you to witness that I have forgiven My servant for whatever lies between the two ends of the record.'"

[Its isnad is daif]. Bazzar (Kashf Astar): 4/83, no. 3252, narrated it from Ziyad bin Ayub with the same wording. Ibn Jawzi mentioned it in Ilal, no. 28, and said, "This hadith is not sound." Tammam is daif, and his sheikh used the ambiguous form "an" in transmission.
