[Sahih]. Nasai also narrated it, 5/4, 6, no. 1829 (Funerals, chapter on the sign of the believer's death), from Muhammad bin Bashshar with the same wording. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (Al-Ihsan, 3000), and Hakim did so as well, on the standard of the two Shaykhs (1/361), with Dhahabi concurring.Qatada, followed by Kahmas bin Hasan Qaysi, is found in Nasai 6/4, no. 1830, and its chain is sahih.On this subject there is also a narration from Ibn Masud [Bazzar (Kashf), 1/370, no. 779].
