The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are five harmful creatures that may be killed within the sacred precincts: the mouse, the scorpion, the crow, the kite, and the rabid dog."

قال رسول الله ﷺ خمس فواسق يقتلن في الحرم الفأرة والعقرب والغراب والحديا والكلب العقور
Agreed upon. Bukhari (Beginning of Creation, chapter on the five kinds of animals that are vermin and may be killed in the sacred area... etc.), no. 3314, and Muslim, 1198, narrated it from the hadith of Yazid bin Zuray as above.There are also narrations on this subject from Ibn Masud [Bukhari, no. 1830, and Muslim, no. 2234], Ibn Umar [Bukhari, no. 1826, and Muslim, no. 1199], Abu Hurairah [Abu Dawud, no. 1847], Abu Saeed [coming up, 838], and Ibn Abbas [Ahmad, 1/no. 257].
