I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "If a person in the state of ihram cannot find a waist-wrapper, let him wear trousers, and if he cannot find sandals, let him wear leather socks."Qutayba narrated to us, Hammad bin Zayd narrated to us from Amr something similar.
حدثنا أحمد بن عبدة الضبي البصري حدثنا يزيد بن زريع حدثنا أيوب حدثنا عمرو بن دينار عن جابر بن زيد
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول المحرم إذا لم يجد الإزار فليلبس السراويل وإذا لم يجد النعلين فليلبس الخفين حدثنا قتيبة حدثنا حماد بن زيد عن عمرو نحوه
[Sahih]. Ibn Khuzayma also narrated it, no. 2672, and others, from the hadith of Abdul-Malik bin Abu Sulayman, through him. Bukhari also narrated it, no. 1536, and Muslim, no. 1180, from the hadith of Ataa, from Safwan, from his father, through him. See the following hadith.
