I never used to make up the days I owed from Ramadan except in Shaban, until the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away.
حدثنا قتيبة حدثنا أبو عوانة عن إسمعيل السدي عن عبد الله البهي
ما كنت أقضي ما يكون علي من رمضان إلا في شعبان حتى توفي رسول الله ﷺ
[Its chain is hasan]. Ahmad narrated it, 6/124, 131, from the hadith of Abu Awana with the same wording, and it meets the standard of Muslim. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, hadiths 2049, 2051.
