The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "None of you should fast on Friday unless he fasts the day before it or the day after it."

قال رسول الله ﷺ لا يصوم أحدكم يوم الجمعة إلا أن يصوم قبله أو يصوم بعده
Agreed upon [by Bukhari and Muslim]. Muslim narrated it in the Book of Fasting, chapter on the dislike of singling out Friday for fasting when it is not one's usual habit, hadith no. 1144, from the hadith of Abu Muawiya al-Darir.
