The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to order that the zakat be given out before going out to the prayer on the day of Fitr.
حدثنا مسلم بن عمرو بن مسلم أبو عمرو الحذاء المدني حدثني عبد الله بن نافع الصائغ عن ابن أبي الزناد عن موسى بن عقبة عن نافع
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يأمر بإخراج الزكاة قبل الغدو للصلاة يوم الفطر

Agreed upon. Bukhari also reported it in the Book of Zakat, chapter on charity before Eid, hadith no. 1509, and Muslim in the Book of Zakat, chapter on the command to pay Zakat al-Fitr before the prayer, hadith no. 986, from the hadith of Musa bin Uqba, through the same chain.
