When the Prophet ﷺ prayed Fajr, he would remain seated in his place of prayer until the sun rose.
حدثنا قتيبة حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن سماك بن حرب
كان النبي ﷺ إذا صلى الفجر قعد في مصلاه حتى تطلع الشمس
Muslim also narrated it in the Book of Mosques, Chapter on the Merit of Sitting in One's Prayer Place After Fajr, and the Merit of Mosques, hadith no. 670, from the hadith of Abu Ahwas through this same chain.
