Whenever we prayed behind the Prophet ﷺ during the heat of midday, we would prostrate on our garments to protect ourselves from the heat.

كنا إذا صلينا خلف النبي ﷺ بالظهائر سجدنا على ثيابنا اتقاء الحر
Agreed upon (muttafaq alayh).
