He was one of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ. He said, "The Prophet ﷺ commanded us to attend the Friday prayer from Quba." This has also been reported from Abu Hurairah from the Prophet ﷺ, but it is not authentic.

وكان من أصحاب النبي ﷺ قال أمرنا النبي ﷺ أن نشهد الجمعة من قباء وقد روي عن أبي هريرة عن النبي ﷺ في هذا ولا يصح
