The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever neglects the Friday prayer three times out of indifference, Allah will seal his heart."
حدثنا علي بن خشرم أخبرنا عيسى بن يونس عن محمد بن عمرو عن عبيدة بن سفيان عن أبي الجعد يعني الضمري وكانت له صحبة فيما زعم
قال رسول الله ﷺ من ترك الجمعة ثلاث مرات تهاونا بها طبع الله على قلبه
[Its isnad is hasan] Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Prayer, chapter on the severity regarding abandoning Friday prayer, no. 1052, Ibn Majah, no. 1125, and Nasai, 3/88, no. 1370, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Amr with this wording. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, no. 1857, as did Ibn Hibban, no. 65, 553, 554, and Hakim, 1/280, saying it meets the criteria of Muslim, and Dhahabi agreed with him. The hadith has many corroborating narrations and is mutawatir.On this subject there are also narrations from Ibn Umar [Muslim, no. 865], Ibn Abbas [Nasai, no. 1371], and Samura [Ibn Majah, no. 1128].
