Abd Khayr said, I saw Ali perform ablution. He washed his hands until they were clean, then rinsed his mouth three times, drew water into his nose three times, washed his face three times, washed his forearms three times, wiped his head once, and then washed his feet up to the ankles. Then he stood, took what was left of his water, and drank it while standing. Then he said, "I wanted to show you how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed his ablution."Abu Isa said, on this topic there are also narrations from Uthman, Abdullah bin Zayd, Ibn Abbas, Abdullah bin Amr, Rabi, Abdullah bin Unays, and Ayesha, may Allah be pleased with them. Except that Abd Khayr said that when he had finished his ablution, he took some of the water left over from it in his palm and drank it.
[Sahih] See the previous hadith. It was also narrated by Abdul-Malik bin Sala and Malik bin Urfuta and others from Abd Khayr through the same route. See Musnad Jami (13/144, no. 9984).
