The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no prayer after dawn except for two units of prostration."The meaning of this hadith is that he is saying there is no prayer after the break of dawn except for the two units of the dawn prayer.

Takhrij, its chain is daif. Abu Dawud narrated it, no. 1278, through the hadith of Qudama in full. Muhammad bin Husayn is unknown, and the hadith has other routes, all of them daif. Muslim narrated, no. 723, and others, "The Messenger of Allah, when Fajr came, would pray only two light rakahs."On this subject there is also a narration from Abdullah bin Amr [Abd bin Humayd, no. 333, and Bayhaqi, 2/465-466], and from Hafsa [coming up, no. 433].
