Whenever I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for something, he would give it to me, and whenever I remained silent, he would initiate giving to me.
حدثنا خلاد بن أسلم البغدادي حدثنا النضر بن شميل أخبرنا عوف عن عبد الله بن عمرو بن هند الجملي قال
ي كنت إذا سألت رسول الله ﷺ أعطاني وإذا سكت ابتدأني
[Hasan] Nasai narrated it in Khasais Ali: 119, from the hadith of Awf, with the same chain, and Abdullah, and Hakim: 3/125, who graded it sahih according to the standard of the two Shaykhs, and Dhahabi agreed with him, with Amr bin Hind stating clearly that he heard it directly, and it will come later: 3729.
