Ibn Umar reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, "When dinner is served and the prayer has been called, begin with dinner."
حدثنا قتيبة حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن الزهري
يبلغ به النبي ﷺ قال إذا حضر العشاء وأقيمت الصلاة فابدءوا بالعشاء
Agreed upon [by Bukhari and Muslim], and Muslim narrated it in "Masajid," chapter "The dislike of praying in the presence of food..." etc., no. 557, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna, and Bukhari, no. 672, from the hadith of Zuhri.On this subject there are also narrations from Ayesha [Bukhari, no. 5465, and Muslim, nos. 558, 560], Ibn Umar [coming up: 354], Salama bin Akwa [Ahmad: 4/49, 54], and Umm Salama [Ahmad: 5/250].The statement of Waki, its chain is sahih.
