While the Prophet ﷺ was delivering the Friday sermon standing, a caravan arrived in Medina. The companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ rushed out toward it until only twelve men remained with him, among whom were Abu Bakr and Umar. Then the verse was revealed, "And when they see merchandise or amusement, they rush off to it and leave you standing" [Jumuah 62:11].He said, this is a hasan sahih hadith.Ahmad bin Manee narrated to us, Hushaym narrated to us, Husayn reported to us from Salim bin Abu Jaad, from Jabir, from the Prophet ﷺ, something similar.
Muslim also narrated it in the Book of Jumuah, chapter on the saying of Allah Most High, "But when they saw a trade or a diversion, they rushed to it and left you standing" [Jumuah 62:11], hadith no. 863, from the hadith of Hushaym with the same wording. Bukhari also narrated it, hadith no. 936, from the hadith of Husayn, from Salim, with the same wording.
