The Prophet ﷺ said regarding Allah's statement, "and you commit evil deeds in your gatherings" [Ankabut 29:29], "They used to pelt people on the road with pebbles and mock them."

عن النبي ﷺ في قوله {وتأتون في ناديكم المنكر} قال كانوا يخذفون أهل الأرض ويسخرون منهم
[Its isnad is daif]. Ahmad also narrated it in 6/424, 341, from Abu Usama Hammad bin Usama, through the same route. Abu Salih Bazam, the freedman of Umm Hani, is daif and a mudallis (Taqrib). Nevertheless, Hakim graded it sahih according to the standard of Muslim in 2/409, and Dhahabi agreed with him, saying it meets the standard of the two Shaykhs (!!).
