I heard Musab bin Saad narrating from his father Saad, who said, "Four verses were revealed concerning me." He then mentioned the story.Umm Saad said, "Has Allah not commanded kindness to parents? By Allah, I will not eat any food nor drink any drink until I die or you renounce your faith."He said, "Whenever they wanted to feed her, they would pry open her mouth with a stick."Then this verse was revealed, "And We have enjoined upon man goodness toward his parents, but if they strive to make you associate with Me..." [Ankabut 29:8].

Muslim also recorded it in the Book of Jihad, Chapter on the Spoils of War, no. 33/1748, 34, from Muhammad bin Bashshar and Muhammad bin Muthanna, through the same chain.
