Abu Amir did not mention Qasim. She said, "I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about His saying, 'As for those in whose hearts is deviation, they follow what is unclear of it, seeking discord and seeking its interpretation' [Aal Imran 3:7]."He said, "When you see them, recognize them."Yazid's version says, "When you see them, recognize them," and he repeated it two or three times.

Sourcing, its chain of transmission is daif. Tahawi narrated it in Mushkil Athar 1/444 from the hadith of Abu Ahmad Zubayri, from Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Zubayr, in this same wording. Hakim graded it sahih according to the criterion of the two Shaykhs in 2/292, and Dhahabi agreed with him. Sufyan Thawri narrated it using the ambiguous "an" formula.
