The Prophet ﷺ, Abu Bakr, Umar, and I believe he also said Uthman, used to recite "Malik yawm al-din" [Fatihah 1:4].
حدثنا أبو بكر محمد بن أبان حدثنا أيوب بن سويد الرملي عن يونس بن يزيد عن الزهري
أن النبي ﷺ وأبا بكر وعمر وأراه قال وعثمان كانوا يقرءون {مالك يوم الدين}
Its isnad is daif. Tahawi also reported it in Mushkil Athar Tuhfat Akhyar (8/203, no. 5866) through the hadith of Ayub bin Suwayd, by the same chain. Ayub bin Suwayd is daif. The hadith of Zuhri from Salim from his father was reported by Ibn Abu Dawud in Masahif (p. 103) and others, and it contains an unknown informant. The hadith of Abdul-Razzaq was reported by Abu Dawud (no. 4000), and it is daif because it is mursal.
