The Prophet ﷺ recited, "that a life is for a life, and an eye for an eye" [Maidah 5:45].Suwayd bin Nasr told us that Abdullah bin Mubarak reported from Yunus bin Yazid, with this chain, something similar.
حدثنا أبو كريب حدثنا ابن المبارك عن يونس بن يزيد عن أبي علي بن يزيد عن الزهري
أن النبي ﷺ قرأ {أن النفس بالنفس والعين بالعين} حدثنا سويد بن نصر حدثنا عبد الله بن المبارك عن يونس بن يزيد بهذا الإسناد نحوه
Its chain of transmission is daif. Abu Dawud narrated it in "Letters and Readings," chapter 1, hadith 3977, from the hadith of Ibn Mubarak, with the same wording, and Yunus alone narrated it, as Tabarani said in Awsat, hadith 153. Zuhri narrated it with "ana."
