The Prophet ﷺ forbade anyone from combining his name and his kunya by naming a child Muhammad and giving him the kunya Abu al-Qasim.
حدثنا قتيبة حدثنا الليث عن ابن عجلان عن أبيه
أن النبي ﷺ نهى أن يجمع أحد بين اسمه وكنيته ويسمي محمدا أبا القاسم
[Sahih]. Ahmad also narrated it, 2/433, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Ajlan, through him, and Abu Dawud mentioned it without a connected chain, no. 4966, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih in Al-Ihsan, 5784.
