The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever commits an offense for which a prescribed punishment is due and has its penalty hastened in this world, Allah is too just to inflict that punishment upon His servant a second time in the Hereafter. And whoever commits an offense for which a prescribed punishment is due, then Allah conceals it for him and pardons him, Allah is too generous to return to something He has already pardoned."
حدثنا أبو عبيدة بن أبي السفر واسمه أحمد بن عبد الله الهمداني الكوفي قال حدثنا حجاج بن محمد عن يونس بن أبي إسحق عن أبي إسحق الهمداني عن أبي جحيفة
عن النبي ﷺ قال من أصاب حدا فعجل عقوبته في الدنيا فالله أعدل من أن يثني على عبده العقوبة في الآخرة ومن أصاب حدا فستره الله عليه وعفا عنه فالله أكرم من أن يعود إلى شيء قد عفا عنه
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Ibn Majah also narrated it in the Hudud, Chapter on Punishment as Atonement, Hadith no. 2604, from the hadith of Hajjaj bin Muhammad, through the same route, and Hakim graded it sahih in 7/1, and Dhahabi agreed with him. Abu Ishaq narrated it using "an" (indicating a possible gap in the chain).
