When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Medina, people rushed out toward him, and it was being said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has come, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has come, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has come."I came along with the crowd to get a look at him. When I gazed clearly upon the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, I recognized that his face was not the face of a liar. The very first thing he said was, "People, spread the greeting of peace, feed the hungry, and pray at night while others sleep, and you will enter Paradise in peace."
[Its isnad is sahih] Ibn Majah narrated it in "Establishing the Prayers," chapter on what has been said regarding standing in night prayer, no. 1334, from Muhammad bin Bashshar with the same wording. Hakim graded it sahih according to the conditions of the two Shaykhs, 3/13, 4/160, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
