Someone said to the questioner, "Do you bear witness that there is no god but Allah?"He replied, "Yes."He asked, "Do you bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah?"He replied, "Yes."He asked, "Do you fast Ramadan?"He replied, "Yes."He said, "You have asked, and one who asks has a right. It is indeed a duty upon us to show you kindness." Then he gave him a garment and said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'No Muslim clothes another Muslim with a garment except that he remains under Allah's protection as long as a single shred of it remains upon him.'"He said, this is a hasan gharib hadith from this line of transmission.
Its isnad is daif. Hakim reported it (4/196) from the hadith of Abu Ahmad Zubayri through this route and graded it sahih, but Dhahabi said, "Khalid is daif." I say, Khalid became confused ten years before his death, but before that he was reliable, as Ibn Main stated, in Kawakib Nayyirat, p. 38, and Tahdhib, and other sources.Husayn is Ibn Malik Bajali, as stated in Tarikh al-Kabir of Bukhari (9/3).
