The Prophet ﷺ said, "One who eats and gives thanks holds the same rank as one who fasts and endures patiently."
حدثنا إسحق بن موسى الأنصاري حدثنا محمد بن معن المدني الغفاري حدثني أبي عن سعيد المقبري
عن النبي ﷺ قال الطاعم الشاكر بمنزلة الصائم الصابر
Its isnad is hasan. Ahmad also reported it, 2/283, from the hadith of Maen Ghifari through the same chain. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, hadith 1898, as did Ibn Hibban, hadith 952, and Hakim, 4/136, and Dhahabi agreed with him. Ibn Majah reported it, hadith 1764, from the hadith of Abu Hurairah with similar wording, and the hadith has corroborating narrations in Ibn Hibban and elsewhere.
