The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "My intercession is for those of my nation who commit major sins."
حدثنا العباس العنبري حدثنا عبد الرزاق عن معمر عن ثابت
قال رسول الله ﷺ شفاعتي لأهل الكبائر من أمتي
[Its isnad is sahih]. Ibn Khuzayma also reported it in Tawhid, p. 270, from Abbas bin Abdul-Azim Anbari with the same chain, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 2596, as did Hakim, who said it met the standard of the two Shaykhs, 1/69, and Dhahabi agreed with him. Abu Dawud also narrated it, no. 4739, from the hadith of Anas with the same chain. It has very many corroborating narrations.There is also a report on this topic from Jabir [to come, no. 2436].
