The Prophet ﷺ said, "The Hour will not come until you fight a people whose sandals are made of hair, and the Hour will not come until you fight a people whose faces are like hammered shields."
حدثنا سعيد بن عبد الرحمن المخزومي وعبد الجبار بن العلاء قالا حدثنا سفيان عن الزهري عن سعيد بن المسيب
أن النبي ﷺ قال لا تقوم الساعة حتى تقاتلوا قوما نعالهم الشعر ولا تقوم الساعة حتى تقاتلوا قوما كأن وجوههم المجان المطرقة
Agreed upon [by Bukhari and Muslim]. Bukhari reported it in the Book of Jihad and Expeditions, chapter on fighting those who wear sandals of hair, hadith no. 2929, and Muslim, hadith no. 2912, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna, through this route.There are also reports on this subject from Abu Bakr Siddiq, perhaps referring to the hadith that follows [2237], and Burayda [Abu Dawud, hadith no. 4305], and Abu Saeed [Ibn Majah, hadith no. 4099], and Amr bin Taghlib [Bukhari, hadith nos. 2927, 3592], and Muawiya [Abu Yaala, as mentioned in Majma al-Zawaid, 7/311, 312, and Jami al-Masanid wal-Sunan by Ibn Kathir, 11/630, hadith no. 9003].
