Ali bin Abu Talib came to Ubayy and invited him to go out with him.Ubayy said to him, "My close friend and your cousin instructed me that when people fall into discord, I should fashion a sword of wood. I have indeed made one. If you wish, I will go out with you carrying it."She said, so he left him alone.
