The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Once the sword is placed among my Ummah, it will not be lifted from them until the Day of Resurrection."
حدثنا قتيبة حدثنا حماد بن زيد عن أيوب عن أبي قلابة عن أبي أسماء
قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا وضع السيف في أمتي لم يرفع عنها إلى يوم القيامة
[Its isnad is sahih] Abu Dawud also narrated it in Kitab al-Fitan wal-Malahim, Bab Dhikr al-Fitan wa Dalailiha, no. 4252, from the hadith of Hammad bin Zayd, by this route, and its basis is found in Sahih Muslim, no. 2889.
