The moon split during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Bear witness."
حدثنا محمود بن غيلان حدثنا أبو داود عن شعبة عن الأعمش عن مجاهد
انفلق القمر على عهد رسول الله ﷺ فقال رسول الله ﷺ اشهدوا
Muslim also narrated it in "Characteristics of the Hypocrites," chapter on the splitting of the moon, hadith no. 2801, from the hadith of Shubah.
