The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked her, "What do you use as a laxative?"She replied, "Shubrum."He said, "It is hot and harsh."She said, "Then I used senna as a laxative."The Prophet ﷺ said, "If there were anything that contained a cure from death, it would be in senna."

[Its chain is daif] Hakim graded it sahih (4/404) and Dhahabi agreed with him (!). In the chain of Tirmidhi there is a dropped narrator, and there is doubt about the continuity of the chain, as I have established in Tas-heel al-Hajah, hadith 3461. The hadith has a daif corroborating narration in Hakim (4/200, 201), which he graded sahih and Dhahabi agreed with him, but it contains Ibn Jurayj using an ambiguous form of transmission, along with other defects.
