The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever calls the adhan for seven years, seeking only the reward of Allah, will be granted a decree of safety from the Fire."
حدثنا محمد بن حميد الرازي حدثنا أبو تميلة حدثنا أبو حمزة عن جابر عن مجاهد
أن النبي ﷺ قال من أذن سبع سنين محتسبا كتبت له براءة من النار
Its chain is extremely daif.Jabir Jafi is extremely daif. Ibn Majah narrated it, no. 727, through the hadith of Jabir Jafi, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, with the same wording. Aqeeli, Baghawi, and others graded the hadith daif. This subject also has narrations from Abdullah bin Masud [Ahmad 1/306, 307], Thawban [Bukhari in al-Kuna 9/68, through the hadith of Muhammad bin Saeed Maslub, and Muawiya bin Abu Sufyan] [Muslim, no. 387], Anas [Ahmad 3/169, 264], Abu Hurairah [Abu Dawud, no. 515], and Abu Saeed [Bukhari, no. 609].The statement is soundly attributed to Waki, but it is rejected, because this Jabir was graded daif by the majority, and some even accused him of lying. Perhaps he said it in jest, and Allah knows best. Hammad is Ibn Abu Sulayman, and others are far more knowledgeable in jurisprudence than he is.
