The Prophet ﷺ said, "The generous person is close to Allah, close to Paradise, close to people, and far from the Fire. The miser is far from Allah, far from Paradise, far from people, and close to the Fire. An ignorant person who is generous is more beloved to Allah than a knowledgeable person who is miserly."

Ibn Jawzi cited it in al-Mawduat, 2/180, and said, "This hadith is not sound."Saeed bin Muhammad al-Warraq is daif, as stated in al-Taqrib and other sources, and the hadith has corroborating narrations that are extremely weak.
