I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever gives a milking animal as a loan, or lends silver, or guides someone along a path, will have the reward equivalent to freeing a slave."
حدثنا أبو كريب حدثنا إبراهيم بن يوسف بن أبي إسحق عن أبيه عن أبي إسحق عن طلحة بن مصرف قال سمعت عبد الرحمن بن عوسجة يقول سمعت
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول من منح منيحة لبن أو ورق أو هدى زقاقا كان له مثل عتق رقبة
[Sahih] Abu Naeem also narrated it in Hilyat Awliya: 5/27, from the hadith of Abu Kurayb Muhammad bin Ala, with the same wording, and he said, "A great many transmitted it from Talha bin Musarrif, among them Zubayd, Mansur, and Amash..." etc. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 861. This hadith has many paths of transmission.There is also a narration on this subject from Numan bin Bashir [Ahmad: 4/272, with a hasan chain].
