The Prophet ﷺ said, "While a man was walking along a road, he found a thorny branch in his path and removed it. Allah was thankful to him for that and forgave him."
حدثنا قتيبة عن مالك بن أنس عن سمي عن أبي صالح
عن النبي ﷺ قال بينما رجل يمشي في طريق إذ وجد غصن شوك فأخره فشكر الله له فغفر له
Agreed upon. Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Adhan, chapter on the merit of hastening to Dhuhr, hadith no. 652, from Qutayba, and Muslim, hadith no. 191/1914, from the hadith of Malik through the same chain, and it is in the Muwatta, 1/131, in full.Also narrated on this subject by Abu Barza [Muslim, hadith no. 2618], Ibn Abbas [Bukhari in Adab al-Mufrad, hadith no. 422], and Abu Dharr [previously mentioned, no. 1956].
