Umm Kulthum bint Uqba reported,

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "He is not a liar who reconciles between people, conveying good or relaying good."

[Sahih] Ahmad narrated it (6/460, 461) from Abu Ahmad Zubayri through the same chain. Sufyan Thawri was followed by Dawud bin Abdul-Rahman (Ahmad 6/454), Yahya bin Salim (Tabarani in al-Kabir 24/165, no. 419), Zuhayr, and others.There is also a report on this subject from Abu Bakr, the illness he refers to points to the hadith of Ibn Majah, no. 3849.
