The Prophet ﷺ said, "Satan has given up hope that those who pray will ever worship him, but he still works to stir up discord among them."
حدثنا هناد حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن أبي سفيان
قال النبي ﷺ إن الشيطان قد يئس أن يعبده المصلون ولكن في التحريش بينهم
Muslim also recorded it in "The Characteristics of the Hypocrites," in the chapter "Satan's Incitement and His Dispatch of His Deputies to Cause Discord Among People," etc., hadith no. 2812, from the hadith of Abu Muawiya Dareer, with this wording.There is also a report on this subject from Anas [mentioned earlier at 1935] and from Sulayman bin Amr bin Ahwas, from his father [to come at 3087].
