Abdullah bin Umar reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever drinks wine, Allah will not accept any prayer from him for forty mornings. If he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. If he goes back to it, Allah will not accept any prayer from him for forty mornings. If he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. If he goes back to it, Allah will not accept any prayer from him for forty mornings. If he repents, Allah will accept his repentance. But if he goes back to it a fourth time, Allah will not accept any prayer from him for forty mornings, and if he repents, Allah will not accept his repentance, and He will give him to drink from the river of Khabal."Someone asked, "Abu Abdul-Rahman, what is the river of Khabal?"He replied, "A river of pus from the people of the Fire."
