The Prophet ﷺ said, "Apply ithmid kohl to your eyes, for it sharpens the vision and makes the lashes grow."He also stated that the Prophet ﷺ had a kohl container with which he would apply kohl every night, three times in this eye and three times in that one.

[Its chain is daif] Ibn Majah also narrated it in the Book of Medicine, chapter "On applying kohl in odd numbers," no. 3499, from the hadith of Abbad bin Mansur, and it is daif as noted in Tasheel al-Hajah, no. 3477, and elsewhere.There is also a report on this subject from Jabir [Tirmidhi in Shamail, no. 52] and Ibn Umar [Tirmidhi in Shamail, no. 54].Ibn Majah, no. 3497, and Abu Dawud, no. 4061, and others narrated with a hasan chain from Ibn Abbas, who said, the Messenger of Allah said, "The best of your kohls is antimony, it clears the eyesight and makes the hair grow."
