bin Mughaffal reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade combing the hair except every other day.Muhammad bin Bashshar related to us, saying that Yahya bin Saeed related to them, from Hisham, from Hasan, with this chain of transmission, a similar report.

بن مغفل قال نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن الترجل إلا غبا حدثنا محمد بن بشار حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن هشام عن الحسن بهذا الإسناد نحوه
[Its chain is daif] Nasai also recorded it in Zinah, chapter on combing the hair every other day, 8/132, no. 5058, from the hadith of Isa bin Yunus, and Abu Dawud, no. 4159, from the hadith of Hisham bin Hassan with the same chain, and its chain is daif. Part of the hadith has corroborating narrations in Nasai, no. 5059, and elsewhere. There is also a narration on this subject from Anas [Tirmidhi in Shamail, no. 33].
