The Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no prize except in archery, racing camels, or racing horses."
حدثنا أبو كريب حدثنا وكيع عن ابن أبي ذئب عن نافع بن أبي نافع
عن النبي ﷺ قال لا سبق إلا في نصل أو خف أو حافر
[Its chain of transmission is hasan]. Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Jihad, Chapter on Racing, no. 2574, and Nasai, no. 3615, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Dhib, through this route. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1638, and the hadith has other routes of transmission as well.
