Numan bin Muqarin reported,

I went on a military expedition with the Prophet ﷺ. When dawn broke, he would refrain from fighting until the sun rose. Once it rose, he would fight. When midday came, he would refrain again until the sun passed its zenith. Once it had passed, he would fight until the time of Asr. He would then refrain until he had prayed Asr, after which he would resume fighting. He said, it used to be said that at these times the winds of victory stir, and the believers supplicate for their armies during their prayers.
