I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at Khaybar with a group of the Asharis, and he allotted us a share along with those who had conquered it.This is a hasan sahih gharib hadith. Some of the people of knowledge act upon this. Uzai said, "Whoever joins the Muslims before the shares are distributed for the cavalry is given a share."Burayd's kunya is Abu Burayda, and he is reliable. Sufyan Thawri, Ibn Uyayna, and others narrated from him.

قدمت على رسول الله ﷺ في نفر من الأشعريين خيبر فأسهم لنا مع الذين افتتحوها هذا حديث حسن صحيح غريب والعمل على هذا عند بعض أهل العلم قال الأوزاعي من لحق بالمسلمين قبل أن يسهم للخيل أسهم له وبريد يكنى أبا بريدة وهو ثقة وروى عنه سفيان الثوري وابن عيينة وغيرهما
