I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite the call to prayer in the ear of Hasan bin Ali when Fatimah gave birth to him.
حدثنا محمد بن بشار حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد وعبد الرحمن بن مهدي قالا أخبرنا سفيان عن عاصم بن عبيد الله
رأيت رسول الله ﷺ أذن في أذن الحسن بن علي حين ولدته فاطمة بالصلاة
[Its isnad is hasan]. Ahmad narrated it in 6/422 from Abdul-Razzaq with the same chain. Abu Dawud narrated it, no. 2836, through the hadith of Ubaydullah bin Abu Yazid, and Nasai in 1/165, no. 4223, through the hadith of Ibn Jurayj. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1059, as did Hakim and Dhahabi.
