The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered that dogs be killed, except hunting dogs and dogs used for guarding livestock.Someone said to him, "Abu Hurayrah used to add 'or a dog used for guarding crops.'"He replied, "Abu Hurayrah has crops."
