[Hasan] Abu Dawud also narrated it in the Book of Purification, chapter on a person in a state of major ritual impurity reciting the Quran, no. 229, and Ibn Majah, no. 594, and others, from the hadith of Amr bin Mura, with the same wording. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, no. 208, as did Ibn Hibban, no. 192, 193, and Ibn Jarud, no. 94, and Baghawi, no. 273, and Hakim, 4/107, and Dhahabi and others. Hafiz said in al-Fath, 1/324, "The truth is that it belongs to the category of hasan and is fit to serve as evidence."Amr bin Mura heard from Abdullah bin Salama before the latter's memory became confused, as I established in my edition of Musnad Humaydi (57).
