A woman asked the Prophet ﷺ about a garment stained with menstrual blood. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Scrape it off, then rub it with water, then sprinkle water over it, and pray in it."
حدثنا ابن أبي عمر حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة عن هشام بن عروة عن فاطمة بنت المنذر
أن امرأة سألت النبي ﷺ عن الثوب يصيبه الدم من الحيضة فقال رسول الله ﷺ حتيه ثم اقرصيه بالماء ثم رشيه وصلي فيه
Agreed upon. Bukhari narrated it in wudu, chapter on washing blood, hadith no. 227, and Muslim narrated it in purification, chapter on the impurity of blood and how to wash it, hadith no. 291, from the hadith of Hisham bin Urwa with this wording.On this subject there is also a narration from Abu Hurairah [Ahmad: 2/380] and from Umm Qays bint Mihsan [Abu Dawud, hadith no. 363].
