The Prophet ﷺ said, "If the blood is red, then a Dinar is due, and if the blood is yellow, then half a Dinar."

عن النبي ﷺ قال إذا كان دما أحمر فدينار وإذا كان دما أصفر فنصف دينار

Its chain of transmission is daif. Ibn Majah recorded it in the Book of Purification, chapter on one who has intercourse with his wife while she is menstruating, hadith no. 650, from the hadith of Abdul-Kareem, and he is Abu Umaya, who is daif, as noted in Sunan al-Kubra of Bayhaqi (1/316, 317) and Nukat Ziraf (5/248, hadith no. 6491). So the chain is daif, and the hadith has daif corroborating narrations found in Abu Dawud (265) and others. Hakim graded it sahih (1/171, 172), as did Dhahabi, Ahmad, and others.
