The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The finest of what you consume is from your own earnings, and indeed your children are part of your earnings."
[Sahih. Ibn Majah also narrated it in "the Chapter on Trade, the section on what belongs to a man from his child's wealth," no. 2290, from the hadith of Yahya bin Zakariya through the same route, and Dhahabi graded it sahih. It is also referenced in Nayl Maqsud, no. 3528, and Musnad Humaydi, no. 247, with my verification. There is also a narration on this subject from Jabir, Ibn Majah, no. 2291, and from Abdullah bin Amr, Ibn Majah, no. 2292.]
